Man Buys Hard-Drive In China, Gets Ripped Off

Having a back-up hard drive for your computer is probably a good idea. Most people, myself included, like to use external hard drives to store data because they’re portable and they’re easy to use. I do have to suggest though that when buying an external hard-drive in China you be very careful. A Russian guy recently bought himself a 500GB external hard-drive in a Chinese town near the Russian border, but got less than he bargained for.

Taiwanese News Claims iPad 3 Launch at Apple’s WWDC in June

Taiwanese news sources are reporting that manufacturers in Taiwan have already begun producing parts for the iPad 3. They also claim that it is likely that the third generation iPad will be previewed at Apple’s upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. Supposedly the latest iPad will boast a new screen, 4G compatibility, a 3MP front facing camera, and a 7MP back facing one. Apple have previously shot down gossip of an iPad 3 release this year, but these latest claims come directly from the manufacturers, giving the rumor more credibility.

iPad 2 Gets Certified in China, Due to Release Within a Month!

The iPad is already being sold “illegally” at grey markets throughout China since it’s release in early March, but for a massive premium. With the popularity of Apple growing exponentially in China, I wouldn’t be surprised if the release of the iPad 2 here turns out to be somewhat like the original iPad release or iPhone 4 release.

Introducing the Gooapple G22: The Unholy Spawn of Google and Apple (Video)

We’ve seen plenty of Shanzhai gimmicks over the years but this is by far the most disturbing yet. It’s the Gooapple phone, and it’s basically the spawn of Satan’s attempt at creating a phone. As a pretty serious Android fan I’m feeling a bit quezy looking at the combination of both my favorite and most despised tech icons (although that could just be lunch). The designers didn’t put much thought into what my feelings would be on the phone’s branding, but they have actually put some thought in to it’s specs. At the end of the day though, the best thing about the G22 is it’s mind blowing boot up intro.
