China Cell Phone Users Now Exceed 900 Million
According to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the number of mobile phone users in China now totals at 900.39 Million. The number of cell phone users has grown here by 41.39 Million in the first four months of 2011, while the number of 3G users throughout China grew by 20.52 Million in the same period to a total of 67.57 Million.
China announced that its internet population had reached a staggering 457 Million at the end of 2010, and this I’m sure this increase in mobile and 3G users adds to this number. The number of mobile users will only continue to increase as the affordability of cell phones and mobile plans increase, and if this trend continues, China’s mobile phone users could near 1 Billion by the end of this year.
