News from P&T EXPO COMM China 2010 – ZTE
Monday brought the beginning of the P&T Telecommunications Expo 2010 in Beijing. More than 500 companies from China, the U.S., Canada, Finland, and 15 other countries showed off their latest in mobile communication technology. We’ve been keeping our eye on the convention to bring you the newest products due to hit the market in the near future. Tablet PC’s and Cell phones were the main order of the week, and there are a few that have been getting a lot of attention.
Today we’re bringing you the latest ZTE products that have been creating a bit of buzz. ZTE’s booth was very eye-catching because of the fact that it had the largest amount and widest variety of products on display. Some for the whole family you could say…
Hottest ZTE Products
1. ZTE S210
The first hot product is the ZTE S210, which may just be the perfect phone for your toddler. Yep, toddler…as if a toddler even knows what a cell phone is?! Seriously though, this thing is not some Shanzhai joke. It’s specially designed for use by young children. It has no display or keyboard, and no real keyboard. It does come with 4 dial buttons for the child to select from; one for emergency calls, two for parents’ numbers, and one for a home number. One of the best things about it is that it’s got a built-in one-way GPS system which allows parents to check the location of the children at any time.
2. ZTE R750
Yet another ZTE phone was one of the products which turned some heads over the week. The ZTE R750 is not nearly the most powerful phone that was seen at the convention, but it sure was one of the value purchases which people were excited to see. It’s got a 3.2″ capacitive touch screen that has a 320×480 resolution and is really responsive. It runs Android 2.1, like most of the tech at the convention, but should be upgradeable soon enough. All told it’s a pretty decent phone, and will only run you RMB 1800 (approx. US$ 260).
3. ZTE V9
The last product on the ZTE hotlist is the V9, one of the latest additions to their line of tablet PC’s. The V9′s got a very sleek and clean look too it, and is very slim as well. It’s stocked with a 7″ resistive touchscreen, 3 megapixel front facing camera, and WCDMA 3G connectivity which will allow for video calls over your network. It currently runs on Android 2.1, but the developers have promised that it will upgradeable to 2.2 by the end of the year. It’ll only be available in Russia starting next month, but it’s been promised to be released soon in China with a price tag between RMB 2000-3000 (US$ 300-450). Check out a video of the V9 after the jump. – ZTE V9
