This Week in the Gadgets Republic!

Not much happened, but here’s what did!

Beijing Man Spends Thousands to Play MMORPG on Huge TV
Earlier in the week a local Beijing gamer known only as “Fire” spent 45,000 RMB to play a Chinese MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) for TEN MINUTES! It turns out that the stunt was actually a marketing scheme conjured by the games developers. Regardles, it’s still one of the most awesome things I’ve ever seen. There’s a video after the jump! Chinese Dairy Farmers Turn Crap in to Power
Chinese dairy farmers in Huishan have begun to convert some of their cow excrement in to power using a machine powered by 4 of the engines you see in the photo above. This machine converts the excrement of 60,000 of Huishan’s 250,000 cows in to 5.66 Megawatts. That’s enough energy to power 3,500 American sized homes for a full year.
